Garlic Shrimp Vermicelli Recipe

 

Ingredients:
Water                         4-6 quarts (about 16-24 cups)
Salt                            1 tablespoon + 2 teaspoon (for seasoning)
Vermicelli                   1 pound
Shrimps (Cleaned)    1 pound
Parsley (Dried)          2 tablespoons
Butter                         3 tablespoons
Garlic (Minced)          2 tablespoons
Parmesan Cheese    To taste
  
Steps:

1. In a large pot, boil water on high heat.

2. Add 1 tablespoon salt and cook the vermicelli for 4 minutes until al dente. (Follow package instructions for cooking time)

3. Immediately after the pasta been dropped, melt the butter on medium heat in a sauce pan. Stir fly the garlic and 2 teaspoons salt for 20-30 seconds until fragrance.

4. Lay shrimps in 1 layer in the sauce pan, cook for 1 minute or until color change and curl. Flip and cook for 1 minute or until just done (curl all the way and turn pink). Remove from heat immediately but leave the sauce in the pan.

5. (Attention: Keep the pasta water) Toss the al dente pasta and parsley in the sauce, add pasta water if it is too dry, remove from heat and serve. Add Parmesan cheese to taste, if desired.
